“Dimora del Sole” (House of the Sun) is a holiday house, and because Salento Region has a lot to offer all year long, is the ideal destination for all seasons.
It is a two flat apartment complex with its own separate entrance, totally independent from the main house which is presently occupied by the owners.
The name Dimora del Sole symbolizes the sun, which is a prominent feature of the house. The sun is in fact symbolically represented on the entrance gate and on the mosaic floor.
The owners have carefully chosen all the best traditional materials accordingly with the local style and design to better give a realistic idea of the regional handcrafts.
The holiday apartment is located on the ground floor and has got a beautiful garden with grass along both sides and a private parking space inside the arcade.
Through the entrance there is a beautiful dining room, a separate double bedroom with a large double bed and bathroom with a shower.
The tiles are made from marble mosaic, the bathroom is custom designed with solid wood furniture.
In the dining room there is a beautiful solid wood table and chairs, a sofa, a TV, and a well equipped kitchenette.
The bedroom is very big and bright with a custom bed that has got another two single beds underneath. The single beds have got little wheels so they can be easly moved into the dining room area. The bedside tables decorated with beautiful antique pieces. In fact the house has got many other original design pieces of furniture to compliment.
We are located in the city centre of Taurisano, a small village in the Salento Region, precisely in Lecce province. Additional to the central location, it is also ideal to go jogging, or to take a bicycle trip to the nearby olive groves.
We are also ideally located between two seas, the ionic coast only 10 km away and the adriatic at 20 km distance. Roads are very well connected so you can easly reach both coasts. In a couple of minutes driving you have access to an infinity of sandy beaches or rocky coasts and can discover all the amazing beauties the Salento region has proudly got to offer.
