Apartment - Farmhouse
Simonswald is a small village, 20 km north east of Freiburg. It is situated in a side valley of the Elztal. Because of the air stream from the Rheintal, this area enjoys more sun hours than the rest of Germany. In Simonswald, you will find an open air pool, several cosy restaurants and you can enjoy lovely walks in the area. Excursions to the city of Freiburg and to Switzerland are recommended and by car, the Titisee, Europa-Park Rust, the "Freilichtmuseum Vogtbauernhöfe", the glass works of Dorotheenhütte, Basel, the Elzas are less than an hour away. You can explore many walking paths and mountain bike routes and there are many fishing facilities. The midget golf, the open air pool and the centre are within 4 km distance.
This farm is located here, in the calm and sunny town of Griesbachtal, a side valley of the Simonswäldertal, surrounded by fields and at a calm mountain stream. Its building style is typical for this area and the farm has been in use since 1981. As is typical for farms, there are various animals, such as rabbits, cows, pigs, chicken, goats, cats and horses. The farm is located on a large terrain of about 3000 m. Both homes (65146 en DE-79263-05) cover the ground and first floor and have a balcony with a view over the surrounding mountains, valleys and woods. Your children will definitely enjoy the pony back rides, which are organized twice a week. And there are several other pleasant arrangements for the children, such as a large playground with a swing, a sand box, small football field, table tennis, games, the calm mountain lake for bathing and a children's pool for the littlest ones. Also for adults there is plenty to do: there is a large sun bathing area with reclining chairs, a sitting corner, a bbq area, tractor riding or rafting on the Wilden Gutach nearby. From mid-May until mid-November, you are more than welcome to join us on our grilling night, which we organize once a week.
